The Present Day

Post-Sky work

The first year was been primarily focused as a much-needed extended period to decompress and focus on personal and family matters, together with starting on home improvements.

There was still time for sone work-related matters : After many years of being too busy and being constantly rescheduled, Richard was finally able to rejoin the Committee of the STLD.

This led to an interesting trip to see BBC Belfast Studios - as well as the city for the first time - and also the privilege to be a full delegate at the amazing and inspirational Showlight 2025 in Dijon for the first time since 2013.

Brooklands Members’ Talks

Once a month, his small but carefully curated stock of PSC Lights have been rigged and operated by Richard for his on-going voluntary work supporting the nearby world-famous Brooklands Museum with their Members' Talks by improving both their Live (in room) and Live (streamed to) YouTube visuals.

For a taster of these eccelectic events about cars and places, this was the first one Richard was asked to do - and he was instantly hooked! A Fascinating…and Hilarious… story all presented with British eccentricity at its finest - about the only surviving - and running - 28 litre (yes, 28L, not 2.8L) airship-engined, flame-throwing, car from 1910; with no brakes…and road legal! due to its age
